4th October 2022

Football-mad youngsters in Oxfordshire are being encouraged to sign-up to Oxford United in the Community’s autumn half-term holiday camps after spaces were launched this week.

The football club’s official charity will host two camps on the week beginning Monday, October 24, at The Oxford Academy in Littlemore and at Easington Sports FC in Banbury.

Sessions will be packed with fun, engaging and inclusive activities suitable for male and female participants of all playing abilities aged four to 13.

Oxford United in the Community’s experienced and qualified team of coaches will deliver each holiday camp, which teaches football skills and techniques while focusing on the development of agility, balance and coordination.

Chris Lowes, head of the charity, said: “Our autumn half-term holiday camps are always an important fixture on our annual calendar of activity and we look forward to hosting them later this month.

“The sessions are designed to keep children active through football-based challenges and activities which promote the development of key life skills including teamwork, communication and problem solving.

“Spaces for each camp are limited, so I would encourage parents wishing to book either a session or a full week of activities to do so now and reserve a space. We look forward to welcoming everyone pitch side!”
