21st March 2023

Sports-mad youngsters are encouraged to sign-up to Oxford United in the Community’s popular Easter holiday football camps next month – and spaces are available to book now!

The football club’s official charity will operate three camps during the first two weeks of April at The Oxford Academy in Littlemore and at Easington Sports FC in Banbury.

Sessions will be packed with fun, engaging and inclusive activities suitable for male and female participants of all playing abilities aged four to 13. They teach football skills and techniques while focusing on the development of agility, balance and coordination.

It’s also an opportunity for participants to engage and make friends with likeminded players and learn from Oxford United in the Community’s experienced and qualified team of coaches who will lead each session.

Rob Porter, Lead Community Coach at Oxford United in the Community, said activities help children of all experiences keep healthy and remain engaged during the two-week break.

He said: “Our Easter holiday camps are always an important fixture in our calendar and year-on-year get bigger and better with the support of our countywide delivery partners.

“We tailor the sessions so delivery can be adapted to engage players of all abilities and ages while ultimately providing a fun, active, programme of activities which promote teamwork, communication and problem solving.

“Spaces for each camp are limited, so we would encourage parents wishing to book either a session or a full week of activities to do so now and reserve a space. We look forward to welcoming everyone pitch side!”
