25th March 2022

Young footballers of all playing abilities are invited to book their place at Oxford United in the Community’s fun and engaging Easter holiday camps next month.

The football club’s official charity will deliver three camps during the Easter break at The Oxford Academy in Littlemore and Easington Sports FC in Banbury.

Programmes at The Oxford Academy will take place between Monday, April 11, and Thursday, April 14 with a second camp hosted from Tuesday, April 19, until Friday, April 22. Easington Sports FC meanwhile will accommodate football-mad youngsters in the north of the county from April 19 until April 21.

Suitable for children aged 4 to 13, the camps teach new football skills and techniques in a supportive and friendly environment. Drills focus on the development of agility, balance and coordination with emphasis placed on the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all participants.

Chris Lowes, Head of Oxford United in the Community, encouraged parents to book in advance of the school holidays to avoid disappointment.

He added: “We’ve seen some outstanding examples of personal and technical development at our popular school holiday camps in recent years and look forward to hosting our upcoming sessions next month.

“Our team of coaches design each day to accommodate participants of all playing abilities with a view to keeping everyone active, helping them make new friends and learn new skills through the power of football and team-based challenges.

“Spaces are quickly filling up, so we are strongly advising parents wishing to book either a session or a full week of activities to do so now and reserve a space. We look forward to welcoming everyone pitch side!”
