Coaches from United’s official charity will be hosting the course during the Christmas holiday, which is open to boys and girls aged 4 to 13, of all abilities. Each day usually consists of warm-ups and skills sessions, including passing, turning, dribbling, shooting, and mini matches
Chris Lowes, Head of Oxford United in the Community, said: “It is great to be able to host a football course over Christmas again and we’re looking forward to welcoming youngsters back. Places are available on a first come, first served basis, so we recommend parents book now to avoid disappointment.
“The courses are structured for children to have fun and improve their skills in a nurturing and safe environment. They are delivered as part of the charity’s commitment to supporting active and healthy lifestyles among youngsters in Oxfordshire.”
The Christmas camp aims to develop respect, sportsmanship, fair play, and teamwork in a fun environment. All the coaches are FA qualified and have up to date safeguarding, first aid training and CRC checks. Children need to bring their own football kit, including shin-pads, boots, trainers, plus lunch and drinks.
The course will run on Monday 20th, Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd December 9am to 3pm for the price of £55 for the three days or £25 per day and can be booked here.
