10th January 2024

Is your son or daughter football-mad with dreams to follow in the footsteps of some of Oxford United’s star players?

If you answered yes, then we have good news. Spaces on Oxford United in the Community’s popular February half-term holiday camps have been launched and are available to book now!

The fun, inclusive, camps – which are suitable for players of all abilities and experiences – will run at The Oxford Academy in Littlemore and at Easington Sports FC in Banbury for children aged 5-13.

And for the fourth term running, a dedicated girls only camp will operate owing to an increase in demand for female football provisions locally.

Participants will be taught new football skills and techniques in a supportive and friendly environment managed by Oxford United in the Community’s team of programme leads and community coaches.

Rob Porter, Lead Community Coach at Oxford United in the Community, encouraged those yet to experience the charity’s holiday camps to get involved.

“Our holiday camps are a great way for youngsters to develop skills, make friends and remain active during the school holidays,” said Rob. “Activities are designed for players of all abilities so everyone can reach their true potential with our support.

“Spaces often fill up quickly, so we strongly advise parents to avoid disappointment by booking now.

“Even better, funds raised from our holiday camps go straight back into supporting our work to inspire happier, healthier and better-connected communities across the county by harnessing the power of football.”
