Home » Programmes »

FIT FANS is a FREE health programme for men and women aged 35-65 who are looking to lose weight, get fitter and lead a more active life.
The programme is designed to increase levels of physical activity, help people lose weight, quit smoking and inspire healthier lifestyles. A fully funded 12-week programme, locally branded ‘Fit U’S’, is the centrepiece of the charity’s new work around health and wellbeing.
FIT U’S groups will be available in eight waves across Banbury, Oxford and Abingdon initially.
The project forms part of Oxford United in the Community’s strategy to increase the scale of its social impact work by embracing all members of the community and inspiring happier, healthier and better-connected communities.
Delivery of FIT U’S has been made possible thanks to funding from Oxfordshire County Council via Oxfordshire Community Foundation’s Healthy Hearts scheme as well as from the EFL Trust and Sport England.
Our first two men’s only groups are set to start in Banbury and Oxford in July:
- Oxford group (for men aged 35-65) starts on Tuesday, 9th August 2022, 6:30pm – 8pm, venue: Rose Hill Community Centre, Carole’s Way, Oxford OX4 4HF
- Banbury group (for men only aged 35-65) starts on Friday, 12th August 2022, 6:30pm – 8pm, venue: Easington Sports Football Club, Addison Rd, Banbury OX16 9DH
