Oxford United in the Community has announced a flash sale for its girls only holiday camps which launch this month, with all profits reinvested back into its countywide programmes.
The football club’s official charity will operate two week-long camps for girls only during the summer break at The Oxford Academy in Littlemore with spaces available at a reduced rate.
To mark England Lionesses’ qualification for next year’s European Championships, we’ve slashed our usual booking prices to encourage young players to get involved.
Full week bookings are now £89 for five days of football-based fun and individual days on the below dates can be booked for £25.
Monday, July 29 – Friday, August 2
Monday, August 12 – Friday, August 16
Sessions are open to female players of all abilities aged five to 13 with Oxford United in the Community’s experienced and qualified coaches teaching participants new skills with an emphasis on friendship, problem solving and good communication.
Kerrie Bates, operations administrator at Oxford United in the Community, encouraged all football-mad youngsters based locally to get involved.
“Women’s football has experienced huge growth in recent years, with more young female players inspired to replicate their idols today than at any point previously,” said Kerrie. “Regardless of a player’s ability or experience, our team can help bring out the best both on and off the pitch. To keep growing the sport, it’s important girls have opportunities to try football for this first time and can continue to develop their skills. We had multiple new attendees at our last girls only camp and all are eager to come back this summer.”
Oxford United in the Community’s Girls Only camps will be delivered at The Oxford Academy in Littlemore between Monday, July 29, and Friday, August 2, plus Monday, August 12, and Friday, August 16.
Sessions begin at 8.45am and last until 3pm. Trainers, football boots plus a packed lunch and water are required.
