Mascot packages for Oxford United’s highly anticipated return to the Championship are on sale – and all proceeds from bookings will be dedicated to Oxford United in the Community.
The football club’s official charity will continue to invest all proceeds from the club’s mascot packages to its countywide programmes which inspire happier, healthier and better connected communities through the power of football.
Initiatives include Oxford United in the Community’s inclusion football sessions, refugee squad Oxford Phoenix, free Premier League Kicks programmes and the Manor Club for the Over 50s.
Seven paid-for mascot spaces will be made available for each home Championship fixture at the Kassam Stadium, with the charity giving away the remaining four spaces to deserving participants from its programmes and partners.
New for this season is Oxford United in the Community’s Captain’s Mascot Package, which will give one mascot for each home game the opportunity to walk out onto the pitch before kick-off hand-in-hand with the U’s skipper for £175.
Captain’s mascots will receive all benefits of the regular mascot packages for £125 per person which include:
- One adult and one junior ticket in the South Stand Lower
- Exclusive pre-match behind the scenes tour
- Warm-up on the pitch with fellow mascots
- Walk out the tunnel with the team before kick-off
- A certificate
- 20% off home replica kit (in-store only)
Kerrie Bates, operations administrator at Oxford United in the Community, said: “Being a mascot at an Oxford United fixture will be a memory which lasts a lifetime – even some of our staff were mascots growing up, a moment they remember to this day!
“Our team are thrilled with the feedback we received last season, and with the club now playing in the Championship, we’re pleased to launch our 2024-25 packages which guarantee fun, insights and an exclusive look into preparations which take place behind the scenes.
“Even better, every penny of the price paid to be a mascot will be dedicated entirely to our work in the community which supports people to become the best version of themselves through football.
“We’re forecasting high demand for packages this season, so book early to avoid disappointment – and we hope to see you pitch side soon!”
The U’s play two home Championship fixtures in August, kicking off on Saturday, August 10, with the visit of Norwich City before Preston head to the Kassam on Saturday, August 31.
Mascot spaces can be booked online here, with spaces available on a first come, first served, basis.
Oxford United in the Community is the official charity of Oxford United FC and uses football as a lever to inspire the people and communities of Oxfordshire to have positive aspirations for their futures.
